Canadian Foreign Minister: We hope to achieve the best for NAFTA agreement and plan for the worst

The Canadian Foreign Minister, Chrystia Freeland, spoke about the NAFTA talks as follows:
- It is important to recognize that there are significant differences between NAFTA partners.
- The good news is to give the negotiators a longer time between rounds, as the US side suggested extending the timetable for negotiations.

28 Aug 2017 05:48 PM |US President Donald Trump tweeted yesterday expressed that he wasn't pleased with the NAFTA renegotiation process. Trump said: " We are in the NAFTA (worst trade deal ever made) renegotiation process with Mexico & Canada. Both being very difficult, may have to terminate?"
