Today European stocks extended their gains recorded during yesterday's session following news of a possible vaccine for the coronavirus, which helped improve the risk appetite of investors.
On Monday, news of a Franco-German proposal for a €500 billion recovery fund helped boost European stock gains by about 4.1%. Eurostoxx 600 rose 0.4%, supported by a rise in airline shares, with shares of International Airline Group (IAG) increasing by 9.01%, while Imperial Brands Group (IMB) profits fell 8.71%.
