U.S. economic growth slowed in the third quarter of 2018, but better than expected, indicating that the U.S. economy is on track to achieve the best annual growth in 13 years.

Gross Domestic Product rose by 3.5% on yearly basis, following a 4.2% growth in the second quarter of 2018, which is the strongest reading in four years, and better than the 3.3% growth forecast.

The economy appears to be on track to achieve 3% growth for the whole year, the strongest growth since 2005, and economists expect growth to slow in 2019 amid possible repercussions from ongoing trade disputes.
