US President Donald Trump cancelled raising wages for almost all federal workers in 2019. An executive order issued late Friday issued a freeze on wages at 2018 levels versus 1.8 million federal workers, eliminating a 2.1% increase previously expected to take effect in January.
This will not affect military personnel, who receive a 2.6% demand approved by Congress in August. The move, which Tramp referred to in his budget proposal early this year, came amidst the government budget stalemate, its funding methods and plans adopted by Trump.
