Russian Central Bank: no plans to cap ruble moves

10 Apr 2018 01:39 PM

Sergei Shvetsov, First Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Russia, said the bank does not intend to take any action to curb fluctuations in the ruble exchange rate, adding that the situation was appropriate for the Russian currency.

During the day, the Russian ruble fell to its lowest level since late 2016, as a result of selling off in the Russian market after the imposition a new set of US sanctions against Russia.
