According to some sources, the People's Bank of China plans to ease some of the capital requirements of commercial banks in line with previous moves to stimulate lending. And that the Bank had initially decided to reduce the structural standards and contribute to the periodicity of its assessment of banks.
The People's Bank of China has been taking steps to encourage commercial banks to boost lending to companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises, as the world's second-largest economy has slowed. Measures this year included three cuts in bank reserve rates.
