Moody's: Debt relief deal is positive for Greece

Moody's said the debt relief package offered to Greece by its creditors last week is credit positive. It said it expects the deal to pave the way for the Greek government to return to financing the capital market on a sustainable basis.

Eurozone finance ministers agreed to Greece's debt relief last Friday to ease its return to market financing once it pulled out of the bailout plan in August after eight years of relying mainly on the EU loans.

Greece was offered a 10-year deferral and an extension of the maturity on a large part of the previous loans plus 15 billion euros of new credit. Moody's expects Greece's economic growth to be between 2-2.5 percent.
