Haruhiko Kuroda, governor of the Bank of Japan, made the following statement:
- We will continue easing policy until the goal of price stability is achieved.
- Prime Minister Shinzo Abe told me to make sure that monetary easing continues until inflation is reached at 2%.
- We will maintain a joint statement with the government.
- We will assess the economy at each meeting, and then decide the appropriate policy for that.
