British Prime Minister Theresa May yesterday sought to reassure Japanese companies that Britain would remain very welcoming to Japanese companies after Britain leaving the EU by telephone with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
The prime minister talked about the meeting with Japanese businessmen earlier this month, which reaffirmed the British government's commitment to Japanese companies. Earlier this month, Japan warned Theresa May that its companies would have to leave Britain if trade barriers after EU departure became ineffective and unprofitable.
