Goldman Sachs expects the RBNZ to hike in February 2019

Goldman Sachs expects the RBNZ to raise interest rates to 2.0% in February 2019. They attributed these expectations to higher inflation rates consistent with the pace of economic growth, the decline in the value of the New Zealand dollar, higher wages, and higher employment rate. The institution said there was little chance that the interest rate would be raised in the near term as markets reduced the chances of a rate hike before the first half of 2019.
