Germany's GDP fell 0.2% in the third quarter lower than expectation at 0.1%, after growing 0.5% previously, 1.1% YoY after rising by 2.0%.

The slight decline in GDP during the period is mainly due to the development of foreign trade .According to the latest statistics, exports declined while imports increased in the third quarter of 2018 compared to the second quarter of the year.

As for domestic demand, there were mixed signals. At a time when fixed capital in machinery, equipment and construction was higher than in the previous quarter, household final consumption expenditure had declined. Government final consumption expenditure was slightly higher than in the previous quarter.
