European stocks rebound at the start of the week

European stocks rebounded on Monday because of strong oil stocks while tobacco stocks fell. The Stoxx 600 index rose by 0.2% and oil stocks jumped 1.8% after a jump of more than 1.5% in crude prices as Saudi Arabia announced the biggest source of losses from the reduction of supply in December with other companies also consider the reductions in 2019.

British Tobacco shares fell 11% to their lowest level since February 2014. But Britain's FTSE rose 1.0%, while the French CAC40 added 0.5% to 130.38 and the German DAX 0.5% to 591.59.
