The current account surplus in the euro zone remained unchanged at 24 billion euros in June, with goods and services surpluses largely matching the figures recorded in May, according to data released by the European Central Bank today.
The current account surplus of the 19-nation euro zone rose over the last 12 months to 3.6 percent of GDP from 3.2 percent in the 12 months to June, dampening the European Central Bank's forecasts for narrowing of the gap.
