ECB kept its current monetary policy unchanged at its meeting in July, where interest rates were kept at zero levels, deposit interest at 0.25%, and marginal lending at -0.40%.
Members of the Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank intend to reinvest the basic payments due from invested securities for an extended period of time after the end of net asset purchases, however long as necessary to maintain adequate liquidity conditions and ample cash accommodation.
The European Central Bank will continue to make net purchases under the asset purchase program at the current monthly rate of 30 billion euros until the end of September 2018.
