The European Central Bank board decided today to keep interest rates on refinancing at 0.00%, marginal lending at 0.25% and deposits at -0.40%.
Interest rates are expected to remain unchanged until the summer of 2019 as long as it is necessary to keep inflation low but close to 2%.
The bond purchase program will continue at a pace of 15 billion euros per month until the end of December 2018.
The euro rose after the European Central Bank decision to its daily high at 1.1427 and awaiting the press conference of the ECB President Mario Draghi.
