Despite uncertainty about the China-US trade dispute, experts raised their expectations for China's 2018 economy, according to a Reuters poll of 76 economists expect economy to grow by 6.6 percent from April's forecasts of 6.5%.

Thus, it will slow down from the 6.9% achieved by the economy in 2017 but within the government's target of 6.5%. China's economy grew by 6.8% in the first quarter of 2018, better than expected. Experts expect the momentum for the rest of 2018 to slow down, albeit at a gradual pace, with expectations for second quarter growth of 6.7%, third quarter of 6.6% and last quarter of 6.5%.

China's economy began to show signs of fatigue as the expansion of credit and domestic demand from investment in government-funded infrastructure and consumer spending slowed. The export sector may be affected by US tariffs on $ 34 billion of Chinese imports.
