China today announced it would like to work with the United States to achieve a positive outcome in the trade negotiations being held this week, spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry told a news conference.
The Chinese vice premier will attend the talks in Washington from May 15 to 19, and discussions starting in Beijing earlier this month appear to have made little progress, but there are recent signs of easing tensions.
