The Canadian finance minister said on Monday there were some similarities between the way companies in North America and UK were barred from investing, while markets were looking for clarity on the renegotiation of the terms of the NAFTA, as well as the UK's departure from the EU.
In a speech in London, Bill Morneau added that some companies are to be cautious in investing in North America because of expectations that the NAFTA may differ from what it used to be, the situation is assumed to be similar in the United Kingdom.
Morneau affirmed the he hopes Canada would have a good trade deal with the UK after it left the EU, with considering CETA as a model.
