Theresa May goes to Brussels for an unannounced trip

British Prime Minister Theresa May will make an unannounced trip to Brussels to meet key negotiators of Brexit, accompanied by David Davies, the British minister in charge of negotiating with the European Union. They are expected to meet with Michel Barnier, European Union commissioner as well as Jean Claude Junker, President of the European Commission.

The visit comes as the 27 EU countries are preparing to hold internal preparatory discussions on the future EU-UK trade relationship. After the latest round of negotiations, Barnier said about it there was very disturbing deadlock.

Teresa May is expected to return to London on Thursday before the European Council meeting.
