The Bank of Spain expects the economy to grow by 3.1% this year, and to rise by 2.4% in 2018 and 2.1% in 2019. The Bank has lowered expectations for the Spanish economy's growth due to the Catalonia issue and its implications for growth over the coming period.

On the other hand, Inflation is expected to rise by 2.0% in 2017, and by 1.5% in 2018. The bank noted that the repercussions of Catalonia will not have a strong impact on the situation in the coming years.
