Japanese Prime Minister Shenzo Abe made a number of statements, the most prominent of which are as follows:
• We don't need to adjust the inflation target right now.
• I hope that Bank of Japan will continue its current expansionary policy.
• I don't want to modify the government's agreements with the Bank of Japan since 2013 on measures taken to push the economy away from deflation.
• I expect that Bank of Japan to continue its expansionary policy to support inflation rising to 2%.
