Wolfgang Schaeuble, German Finance Minister, made the following statement:
• The issue of Greek debt reduction is not on our agenda at all for now.
• Greece does not need to reduce debt currently, but must constantly work on its competitiveness.
• Greek borrowing costs over the next 10 to 15 years are relatively low.
• Above all, as long as Member States are responsible for fiscal and economic policies, they must bear the consequences of their own decisions.
